HC Deb 30 June 1975 vol 894 c326W
45. Mr. Kimball

asked the Secretary of State for Industry what, if any, prior warning he had about the phasing out of work at the Marshall Fowler factory in Gainsborough; and what help he has offered the company.

Mr. Kaufman

The parent company told my Department of its intentions about two weeks ago. It made no request for Government help, having concluded that Marshall Fowler could not be made commercially viable.
