§ Mr. StrangMost first cut hays and silages have now been carried. Quality is excellent but yields are light. It is too early to make a full assessment of the situation, but I shall be keeping it closely under review throughout the summer. I am satisfied that there are adequate supplies of cereals and proteins. The Agricultural Development and Advisory Service is continuing its advisory programme to promote improved forage conservation and grass utilisation.
