§ Mr. MulleyNo distinction is made between mature and other students in my plans to reduce the number of places devoted to teacher training. Institutions may recruit such numbers of mature students as they think fit but they will, no doubt, take into account the likely demand to local authorities for mature teachers at a time when the average age of the teaching profession is increasing.
