asked the Secretary of State for Industry what he is doing to help develop crushing machines for the separation of scrap can metal.

The Waste Management Advisory Council, set up jointly by the Secretaries of State for Environment and Industry, is studying the whole field of metal recovery. If my hon. Friend has any suggestions on the development of crushing machines for scrap can metal and lets me have them, I shall be glad to pass them to the council.
