HC Deb 26 June 1975 vol 894 c237W
Mr. Crawford

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland when he will make a grant of financial support for the running of an office in Scotland by Gingerbread to help one-parent families, similar to the grant received by Gingerbread in England and Wales.

Mr. William Ross

The application from Gingerbread for grant towards the cost of an office in Scotland has very recently been replaced, after discussions between Gingerbread and the Scottish Council for Single Parents, by a joint application relating to the establishment of an office in Glasgow. This move towards co-operation between two voluntary bodies working in the same field is welcomed and the application is being urgently considered.
