§ Mr. CarmichaelI hope to announce the preferred route later in the year. It is too early to give any clear indication of the likely start of construction, but, subject to the satisfactory completion of the statutory procedures and the availability of funds, it is hoped to start the works about 1980 and complete them about three years later.
