§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what consultations are taking place between employers, trade unions and Her Majesty's Government concerning health and safety at work; and if he is satisfied with the present regulations.
§ Mr. OrmeConsultations are taking place in a joint consultative group comprising representatives of employers, trade unions and the Northern Ireland Department of Manpower Services, with particular regard to legislative changes made in this field in recent years in Great Britain. When the consultations are complete my right hon. Friend will consider the need for new legislation in Northern Ireland.
