§ Mr. Roderickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services under what con- 150W ditions a disabled person's vehicle is taken away from him or her.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisVehicles can be withdrawn from disabled people for a variety of reasons. I shall write to my hon. Friend to set these out specifically.
§ Mr. Roderickasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will institute a review of the repair, and availability, of spare parts for disabled persons' vehicles.
§ Mr. Alfred MorrisThe repair service for invalid vehicles is continuously under review. In recent months there have been problems throughout the motor repair trade in obtaining supplies of certain spare parts. Particular difficulties have been experienced in regard to spares for invalid vehicles which are bought in relatively small quantities and some of which have to be specially made. However, most spare parts are now readily available from the Department's central store and urgent action is in hand to supplement our stocks.
If my hon. Friend has a particular case in mind, I will gladly look into it.
