LyonNo. Many of the functions which in relation to the writing press are discharged by the Press Council in relation to radio and television fall within the responsibilities of the Board of Governors of the BBC and of the Independent Broadcasting Authority. The committee of inquiry under Lord Annan which is now looking into the structure of broadcasting will be able to consider whether these responsibilities need to be in any way modified or supplemented.
