§ Mr. DeakinsThe United Kingdom no longer has authority to conclude agree-34W ments with third countries covering trade questions, such as tariffs and quotas, which fall within the common commercial policy of the EEC. This applies whatever the products concerned. We are still free to conclude agreements covering questions, such as economic co-operation, which do not fall within the common commercial policy.
