Mr. Alan WilliamsIn 1973 a consumer information and protection division was created within the Commission and a Consumers' Consultative Committee was established to advise the Commission. The Commission's preliminary programme for consumer information and protection was approved in principle by the Council of Ministers on 14th April 1975.
