§ Mr. DeakinsFrom 1st February 1973 the United Kingdom adopted the Community pigmeat régime in accordance with the provisions of Article 60 of the Act of Accession. The Import Duties (General)36W (No. 4) Order 1972 (S.I. 1972, No. 1909) operative from 1st February 1973 removed the import duties applicable to pork and bacon imports from both the EEC members and other countries. In certain circumstances these goods may be subject to levies in accordance with the pigmeat régime.
