§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for Defence what progress has been made with plans for a naval degaussing station at Amble, Northumberland; and what bodies have been consulted about the proposal.
§ Mr. JuddPlans are going ahead for the proposed degaussing dock at Warkworth Harbour, Amble. Discussions have already taken place with the Northumberland County Council, the Alnwick District Council, and the Warkworth Harbour Commissioners, and full consultations 41W with these and other interested parties will continue as a normal part of the planning process.
