HC Deb 19 June 1975 vol 893 c520W
Mr. Kinnock

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what is the total number of staff employed by his Department and by the Training Services Agency on matters directly concerning youth employment; and in each case what are the functions of those so engaged.

Mr. John Fraser,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 13th June 1975; Vol. 893, c. 291], gave the following information:

95 staff in my Department are engaged on duties arising from my responsibilities under the Employment and Training Act 1973, in relation to the careers services of education authorities. I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that, with regard to the Training Services Agency, it is not possible to identify the number of staff employed on youth employment matters, as the staff concerned with the recruitment and training of young people deal with all age groups.
