§ Mr. EadieThere has been an encouraging and widespread response to306W the Government's energy conservation campaign. My Department has received many representations on energy saving from a wide variety of sources, including individual members of the public and commercial and professional organisations. Though there are inevitable exceptions, there is, in general, acceptance of the need for energy saving and of the ways in which the Govenment are achieving it. All of these representations have been carefully considered. The replies sent have depended on the nature of the representations; and a number of helpful suggestions have now been incorporated into publicity material.
