§ 44. Miss Fookesasked the Secretary of of State for Social Services if she will announce, as a matter of urgency, whether the South-West Regional Health Authority will be permitted to go ahead with phase 2 of Derriford Hospital, Plymouth.
§ Dr. OwenThe South-Western Regional Health Authority and the Devon Area Health Authority are currently considering further development on the Derriford site as part of a general review of service needs in the region. The outcome of the review will be discussed with my Department, but it is for the South-Western Regional Health Authority to determine the relative priority to be given to the many demands on the limited capital resources available.
