§ Mr. Greville Jannerasked the Secretary of State for Employment when he intends to insist upon written statements of policy, organisation and arrangements being made available to employees by employers in accordance with Section 2(3) of the Health and Safety at Work, etc. Act.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Health and Safety Commission that although the requirement for written statements of general policy with respect to health and safety at work became effective on 1st April 1975 the commission has not yet completed its consultations on the exceptions to be recommended under Section 2(3) of the Act. Until the necessary regulations have been made the Health and Safety Executive will exercise suitable discretion regarding action to be taken in the case of employers who have not yet complied.
