§ Mr. Ralph Howellasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she will consider setting up a sample survey to find out what percentage of the unemployed is better off in terms of net weekly spending power—taking into account income tax rebates, national insurance, family allowances and FIS, rent and rate rebates and other selective benefits—since they became unemployed than when they were at work.
