§ Mr. Hayhoeasked the Secretary of State for Employment whether he will publish in the Official Report details of the number of industrial disputes in which ACAS has been asked to intervene, together with a summary of the results of its intervention.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI have been informed by the ACAS that from its 521W inception on 2nd September 1974 to 30th June 1975 it had received 1,963 requests for conciliation. It is difficult to be precise about the outcome of such requests. However, I understand that in about 70 per cent. of cases the ACAS has been successful in assisting the parties towards a settlement.
