HL Deb 30 July 1975 vol 363 c1170WA
The Earl of SELKIRK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many United Kingdom citizens have been appointed by the Agence Européene de Coopération and whether it is proposed that this number will be increased in the near future.

Baroness LLEWEYN-DAVIES of HASTOE

Since the United Kingdom did not contribute to the first three European Development Funds, appointments of United Kingdom citizens by the Agence have been very few and have taken place only in exceptional circumstances. Applications from British candidates are presently being considered for posts in connection with the fourth European Development Fund, and the first such appointments are likely to be made in the autumn of this year.

House adjourned at twenty-three minutes before eleven o'clock.
