§ Mr. William RossMy policy is to facilitate the modernisation and replacement of the fleet through grants of 25 per cent. towards the cost of vessel construction and improvement, while leaving decisions on the number and type of vessels to the practical judgment of fishermen. I shall keep the situation under review in the light of the available fish resources.
