§ Mr. Harold WalkerThe Employment Protection Bill provides for wages councils to fix terms and conditions of employment in addition to remuneration and holidays. The aim of this provision is to put wages councils on the same basis as other negotiating bodies. It will be for the wages councils to decide whether they extend the scope of their proposals.
