§ Mr. Denis HowellThe importation of the skins of a number of rare animals, some of them native to South America, is already prohibited or is permitted only under licence. Our import controls will be extended to cover a wider range of skins when we implement the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora later this year.
