§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that local authority direct labour departments do not come within the Construction Industry Training Board's area of responsibility. Urgent consideration is being given to the possibility of enabling local authorities to take part in special schemes to recruit more young persons for apprenticeship training this year.
