§ Lord James Douglas-Hamiltonasked the Secretary of State for Defence why the editor of the Royal Air Force News did not publish a letter from Squadron Leader Armstrong, intended to draw attention to the effect of the current high rate of inflation on Service pensions.
§ Mr. JohnSquadron Leader Armstrong's letter was addressed to RAF personnel contemplating redundancy. The letter was not published because it was felt that much more information is already available to and studied by those contemplating redundancy in the regulations about pensions increases than was contained in Squadron Leader Armstrong's letter. The effects of inflation, on which he also commented, must be clear to all.
