§ Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he will publish in the Official Report details of the persons who were employed in his office or Department in January 1972 at salaries around£4,500 per annum and what increases they have received to date.
§ Mr. CroslandPersons employed in January 1972 at salaries around£4,500 were those one increment from the maximum of the Principal Grade scale. It would also have been the salary of comparable grades in other groups. As from 1st April 1975 a Principal and equivalent grades in other groups at the same point on the scale have received£7,150.
