§ Dr. SummerskillDuring the last three months there have been seven escapes from Northeye Prison, involving nine prisoners. Prisoners placed in category C are those who cannot be trusted in open conditions but who are considered not to have the ability or resources to make a determined escape attempt. In making judgments on individual cases, staff at classification centres are applying this definition. The working of the classification system is subject to regular monitoring.
