§ Mr. Gordon Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what rent rebates or reduced rents are given by the Scottish Special Housing Association in respect of accommodation suffering from either severe condensation or dampness.
§ Mr. William RossRent rebates are related to a tenant's ability to pay rent, not to the physical condition of his house. The Scottish Special Housing Association has discretion on fixing the rents of individual houses in its stock, and in doing so it has regard to the size, age, type and amenity of the dwellings, including the factors mentioned.
