§ Mr. John MorrisApproximately 27 miles of motorway and 65 miles of dual-carriageway trunk roads have been opened to traffic since 1965. 13 miles of motorway and two miles of dual carriage-way trunk roads are currently under construction. It is anticipated that tenders for a further 17 miles of motorway will be let later this year. This total of 30 miles being built contemporaneously will be the largest ever in Wales. Comparable information about county roads is not readily available.
