§ Mr. Nicholas Edwardsasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundancies there were, in each sector, extractive, manufacturing and services and what were the total number of redundancies notified in Wales in 1974 and to date in 1975.
§ Mr. John FraserI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that redundancies involving some 6,990 people were notified as due to occur in Wales 247W in 1974, and some 7,300 for the period 1st January to 30th June 1975. The following table gives a breakdown into extractive, manufacturing and service industries.
