§ Mr. Woofasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many redundancies, notified to his Department, took place in each of the economic planning regions of Great Britain in 1974; and how many people were involved in each region.
§ Mr. John FraserI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that 1,938 redundancies involving some 127,390 people were notified as due to occur in Great Britain in 1974. The following table gives a breakdown by economic planning region.
