§ Mr. Nicholas Wintertonasked the Secretary of State for Employment how many breaches of the Factories Acts have been the subject of prosecutions in the year to the latest available date in (1) Cheshire, (2) Macclesfield and (3) Congleton; how many firms were involved; and in how many cases the maximum penalty was imposed.
§ Mr. Harold WalkerI am informed by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that for the 12-month period ending 30th April 1975 the numbers of prosecutions for breaches of the Factories Act 1961 and association regulations in the areas of Cheshire, Macclesfield and Congleton were as follows. The maximum penalty was imposed in one of these cases.
