Mr. Watt

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what recent representations he has received from Scottish farmers and farm workers opposing the Government's proposal to abolish tied agricultural cottages.

Mr. William Ross

I have received representations from the National Farmers' Union of Scotland, and from individual farmers, opposing the Government's proposals. I have also had representations from the Secretary of the Scottish Agriculture and Forestry Section of the Transport and General Workers' Union to the same effect.
