§ 23. Mr. Martenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if the EEC directive on the stunning of animals before slaughter and related matters has now been translated into the law of all member countries of the EEC.
§ Mr. StrangThe directive required member States to notify the EEC Commission of the steps taken by 1st July to meet its requirements. However, we know that even before the directive was made the laws of the member States substantially met its requirements.
