§ Mr. John FraserAn analysis of the unemployment and vacancy statistics maintained by my Department suggests that there has been some reduction of employment opportunities in Scotland in recent months, though this has not been so marked as in other parts of Great Britain. In addition, there are many areas in Scotland where demand for labour, particularly skilled labour, is strong.
