HC Deb 30 January 1975 vol 885 c232W
Q15. Mr. Leslie Huckfield

asked the Prime Minister whether he will take up with President Ford the desirability of a British Government stake in United States car manufacturers operating in Great Britain.

Mr. Edward Short

I have been asked to reply.

No. My right hon. Friend will be discussing current economic problems including matters of concern to the motor car industry during his present visit to Washington but I have no reason to believe that he will be raising this aspect.
