asked Her Majesty's Government:

When it is intended to draft a constitution for the Seychelles Islands; on what date it is proposed that the Seychelles should achieve independence; and when legislation will be presented to Parliament.

Her Majesty's Government are arranging for a Seychelles Constitutional Conference to be held in London from 14th to 27th March 1975. In the light of the conclusions of this conference, Her Majesty's Government would propose to reach decisions on constitutional advance and, subject to the approval of Parliament, on final progress towards independence.
