§ Mr. OakesProposals for charging a fee for planning applications have been rejected on many occasions because of the cost of collection and the extra administrative burden. I am aware that Mr. George Dobry, QC, has been looking at this as part of his review of development control, and I shall carefully consider any recommendations made.
