Mr. James CallaghanMy right hon. Friend the Prime Minister and I intend to re-establish the practice of high-level contacts between the United Kingdom and the Soviet Union. We shall seek to impress upon the Soviet leaders the seriousness of Her Majesty's Government's desire to build a safer and more productive relationship beneficial to both countries; to have a full exchange of views on important international and bilateral questions; and to give a new 161W impulse to British exports to the Soviet Union and to the development of Anglo-Soviet trade as a whole.
