Miss Richardsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he will give an assurance that his commitment to maintaining the Polaris force in no way undermines the obligation of Her Majesty's Government under Article VI of the nonproliferation agreement to negotiate any effective measures of nuclear disarmament.
