§ Mr. Lawrenceasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what information he was given about the uses to which the charitable funds of the endowed grammar schools of Burton-on-Trent are intended by the trust deed to 185W be put, in the proposals for secondary reorganisation in Burton-on-Trent; and what will be the effect of the proposals on the funds.
§ Mr. ArmstrongMy right hon. Friend was given no information about these funds. Their application is a matter for the trustees under the scheme regulating the trust. If the approval of the proposals relating to the schools involves any modification of the scheme my right hon. Friend will be prepared to make an order accordingly under Section 1(2)(a) of the Education Act 1973.
