§ 28. Mr. Gowasked the Secretary of State for Social Services on what date National Health Service prescription charges were fixed at their present level; and to what level they would have to be raised in order to have the same value in real terms as was the case when the present charges were fixed.
§ Dr. OwenThe main prescription charge of 20p has applied since 1st April 1971. In November 1974, the latest date for which information is available, the equivalent charge would have been about 29p.
