§ Mr. HattersleyThe provisional estimate of the cost of repairing the damage to the British Embassy in Athens is not less than £30,000. The damage to the British Consulate and the British Council offices in Nicosia is still being assessed. Her Majesty's Government have expressly reserved the right to claim full compensation from the Governments of Cyprus and Greece. The Greek authorities have indicated that they will pay for the damage. No reply on this point has yet been received in London from the Cyprus Government.
