§ Mr. Anthony Grantasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if she has now received the full report of the working 42W party set up following the committee of inquiry into the smallpox outbreak in London in 1973 (Command Paper 5626); whether she will publish the report; what action she is taking on the recommendations of the final report and interim report; and if she will make a statement.
§ Dr. OwenI expect to receive the final report of the Working Party on the Laboratory Use of Dangerous Pathogens shortly and will then consider with my colleagues the action to be taken on its further recommendations. Meanwhile, urgent discussions are taking place between the Departments concerned on the implementation of the recommendations contained in the interim report of this working party.
