§ 33. Mr. Willeyasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department whether he will make a statement on the case of Mr. Caprino and, in particular, on what grounds he was arrested; and when he will make a decision about his deportation.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsMr. Caprino was arrested on the grounds that his presence in the United Kingdom was not conducive to the public good in the interests of national security. After reviewing all the information available, including considerations advanced on Mr. Caprino's behalf, I decided to revoke the deportation order. Mr. Caprino was released from custody on 24th January.
