§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence when courtesy visits were last paid by a Soviet naval vessel to Great Britain and of a Royal Navy vessel to the USSR; and whether the Soviet Government have recently indicated any desire for a further visit to be arranged.
§ Mr. JuddThe last visit by a Soviet naval vesesl to Great Britain was made by the cruiser "Ordzhonikidze" to Portsmouth in 1956. In 1966 HMS "Devonshire" visited Leningrad. There are at present no proposals for further visits.
