§ Mr. Grimondasked the Secretary of State for Scotland what extra resources are being made available to the Crofters 348W Commission to enable it to maintain its services and grants in the face of inflation.
§ Mr. William RossThe cost of the Crofters Commission's activities is borne on the Vote of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries for Scotland. Adequate provision is made in the light of rising costs to ensure that the commission is in no way constrained in carrying out its functions under the Crofters Acts. As regards crofting grants, I would refer the right hon. Member to the reply given to him today.
