§ Dr. GilbertThe total amount collected as import levies between 1st January 1973 and 31st December 1974 was £49,706,000; this includes a provisional figure for December 1974. Under the Treaty of Accession, the United Kingdom's contribution to the Community budget in 1973 and 1974 was determined as a percentage of budget expenditure for those years and not by the amount of import levies and duties collected.
