Bennettasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will arrange to publish fact-sheets similar to the ones issued prior to entry to the Common Market, but this time setting out the advantages and disadvantages of the Common Market, so as to help inform the public in preparation for a referendum on the EEC.
§ Mr. HattersleyThe Government are considering all aspects of the way in which they will implement their undertaking to consult the British people over the question of membership of the EEC, but no final decision has yet been taken on the circumstances in which the test of public opinion will be taken.
