§ Mr. Kershawasked the Minister of Overseas Development what steps she is 325W taking to ensure that the United Kingdom's programme for aid in education and training is co-ordinated with that of other member States of the EEC, in accordance with the resolution on the harmonisation and co-ordination of development aid policies approved by the Council of the EEC on 16th July 1964; and if she will make a statement.
§ Mrs. HartThe European Commission will shortly be making proposals to member States on the implementation of this resolution, covering all aspects of development aid, including education and training. We shall examine these proposals carefully. In the meantime, we have already had preliminary discussions with the Agence Européan de Coopération about procedures for placing and training in this country of people who may be awarded scholarships from the new European Development Fund once it is established.
